The ideal way of going about it is to know the size of your mattress:

Step 1 : Measure the Length, breadth and height of your mattress.

Step 2 : Once the measurement is done, then, add 3-4 inches on each side as you need adequate fabric to tuck under the mattress.

Once this calculation is done you will know the exact size of the bed sheet you are looking for!

If this size requirement of yours and the size of the bed sheet is not an exact match, then, always go for the next big size available.
